Tues was my Appt at MD Anderson in Houston(#1 Cancer Treatment Place) for 2nd opinion. I decided to go after lots of folks being mis-diagnosed, mistreated, my wife and mom annoying me, and HONESTLY the Holy Ghost has been on my heart about going, I just thot to much of the what ifs instead of listening.(little hard headed) There has been plenty of signs to go and it's been a spiritual experience d...uring this process to even go. I was convinced last week when we missed flights, I was right and we didn't need to go, well that was a test of strength...more on my wife's part!
Ok I'm getting to diagnoses. They've had all the paper work for weeks and we brought scans. We sat down with some family planner for over an hour, then a nurse for awhile then Doc asst for a long time,.(all very nice, very informative, never been treated so nice!) then the Doc came in with his Asst....He knows everyone I've been dealing with at Emory and knows them by name(crazy)! With a TEAM of experts all sitting down and looking over everything, They say that I have been misdiagnosed, I do not have the type of stage 2 brain tumor I thought, i have a different type.... Cancerous Brain Tumor stage 3. There is no cure, but life expectancy is close to 10years and by then they gonna have a cure!! They are so awesome they have hooked me up with an Oncologist in Marietta that they work with all the time and I go to her Tues(only got an appt cause she knew about me from MD) and start Chemo very soon....Thank goodness it is Chemo from home, weird but I will take Chemo pills, which are same as injections?, but I take 5 days straight and off for 28 days. This is for a YEAR.... I have a good feeling about this and totally trust these folks. If flights allow and money, I will be going out to MD every couple months for check ups.
